FAQ

Below you can find information on some Frequently Asked Questions and concerns.

I didn’t receive my email. What can I do?

If you tried to reset your password but can’t find the email in your inbox or if your students reported that they didn’t receive the invitation emails, there are a few things you can check before submitting a customer support request.

You might have entered the wrong email address – check to make sure you have not misspelled the email address. If after a few minutes you still haven’t receive your email, try a different email address: you might have been registered with your institutional email and you are trying with your personal address or vice-versa.

The email might have been blocked or be in your junk folder – in sporadic circumstances, the mail may be filtered by your email client or your institution’s email server and be misidentified as spam. Check if it is in your junk/spam email folder or in any updates/promotions folders of your email client. There are also cases where your institution might block emails from specific senders or domains. Reach out to your IT administrator and ask them to add becker.com to the safe senders list.

My student still shows up as Invited. How can he access the assignments?

If a student shows up as Invited, then they need to find their invite email and follow the steps to create an account. You can resend them an invite individually from the student class list if they can’t find the email. The invite link expires after 7 days, in which case you would need to resend them a new invite.

If the students report that they can’t find the invite email, check the suggestions described above or you can edit their username, if the current email is incorrect.

I added a student that immediately showed up as Registered. Is something wrong?

If a student accessed AccountingMaster™ in another class, when you add them to your class they will show up as Registered, because he/she already signed up before. They don’t need to create a new account. They can log in using their existing credentials and will have access to your class as well as any others they are in that are using AccountingMaster™.

Why are all my assignments appearing as “unpublished” and grayed out? How can I change their status to “published”?

To publish an assignment, you need to specify a start date for it. Once the start date is set, the assignment should no longer be grayed out and will be marked as “published”.

Is there any data retention policy for professor accounts, classes, and question sets?

Yes, there are three data retention policies in place:

  • Professor accounts that have not created any class within the first year after account creation will be deleted.
  • Classes that have no activity for a period of 3 years will also be deleted.
  • Question sets that have no reference or activity for 5 years will be deleted.
